Roberto Baggio, a former Italian football star and world cup runner-up, was the victim of an armed robbery and assault at his home in Caldogno, Italy, on Friday evening. The incident occurred while Baggio was watching the Italy vs. Spain match in the 2024 European Championship.

According to Baggio, two masked men forced their way into his home and demanded money and valuables. When Baggio refused, the men physically attacked him, causing minor injuries. The robbers eventually fled the scene with several items, including jewelry and electronics.

Baggio, who played for some of the world's most prestigious clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan, expressed shock and dismay over the incident. He said that he and his family are safe and that he is cooperating with the police investigation.
