The Boston Celtics continued their dominance in the NBA Playoffs, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-95 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on March 5, 2024.
Tatum Shines
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jaylen Brown added 22 points, while Marcus Smart contributed 18 points and 11 assists.The Celtics shot 48.5% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range, while the Cavaliers shot just 39.8% from the field and 26.3% from three-point range.
The Celtics also outrebounded the Cavaliers 50-32 and had 24 assists to the Cavaliers' 16.
With the win, the Celtics take a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 is scheduled for March 7 in Boston.
