Early Life and College Career
Jontay Porter was born in Tolton, Columbia, Missouri, on November 15, 1999. He attended Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, Washington, where he was a highly decorated basketball player. After graduating, he committed to play for the Missouri Tigers men's basketball team.
Professional Career
Porter was drafted 31st overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2019 NBA Draft. However, he missed the entire 2019-20 NBA season due to a torn ACL. He made his NBA debut with the Grizzlies in December 2020 and averaged 5.4 points and 6.1 rebounds in 14 games. In 2022, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors.
